Today , I will like to introduce you a book called, "Giver"
It won a newberry medal and it was published in 1993 by Lowish Lowery.
There is this boy named Jonas living in this perfect community . Everything is so perfect and in order and with no opinion or feelings. When he turns 12, he gets selected as a receiver who recieve feelings, opinions, history and other things from the Giver. As he recieve them, he recieve colors, feelings and many other things.
He also see that he cannot stay in his community due to things he recieved. What will Jonas do?
If you liked this book, you should check out "Gathering Blue" by the same author as well as "Messenger". These three books are actually a trilogy- a three-book series. The Giver is the first novel in the trilogy, followed by Gathering Blue and Messenger!
